Regines Revival

We celebrated our 2nd Birthday disco style with Regines Revival taking over Country Club Tasmania’s Tonic Bar on Saturday 11 November.

DJ Supernova provided the tunes on the night, and Fairsy made an appearance to spin the discs with Paul, who he used to DJ with back in the day at Regines.

Overview of the Foundation: Our impact, reach and support

Rob Fairs Foundation was established two years ago with a goal to transform the life of one young and disadvantaged Tasmanian per year. In our first year, we transformed the lives of seven disadvantaged youth, and in our second year we have transformed the lives of 14, so far.

We are proud to be growing our reach on social media organically with engaged and loyal followers. This helps expand our reach and awareness of the Foundation throughout the state.

Our Fair Go Friends Network is continuing to grow as well with 123 businesses on board to date. These businesses support the Foundation and our work in a variety of ways, but these partnerships help us be flexible in responding to the needs of our young and disadvantaged youth, along with also helping bring any of our initiatives and experiences to life.

A look at our initiatives and success, thus far

During the night we also highlighted a few key initiatives from our first two years of operation, and we announced a new one that we are very proud of.

These initiatives included:

RFF + Kinetic - Kinetic buses is one of our premier partners and have included branded on the back of their buses to raise awareness of the Foundation across Tasmania.

RFF + Tas Petroluem - Tas Petroleum is also a premier partner and are spreading the word about the Foundation across the state with our branding included on their new fuel trucks.

RFF + CVGT - We work closely with CVGT and have three key initiatives in partnership with them, including a youth forum, McDonalds Pilot Program and Youth Employment Pathway. The youth forum had approximately 30 participants this year connecting with services and activities. The program with McDonalds is a structured pre-employment training program, and the pathway initiative is a five-week intensive support program scheduled for early 2024.

RFF Experience Days - We organised days with Race Tasmania and V8 Supercars for a range of our participants to learn and experiences something they wouldn’t normally. After this year's events, youth came away with an interest to pursue mechanics.

RFF + IO4K - The Foundation provided funds to City Mission’s program, Inside Out 4 Kids. This program helps primary school age children across North and North West Tasmania with their emotional wellbeing.

RFF Youth Medical Pilot Program - We also announced a new initiative that we are proud to launch: Youth Medical Pilot Program in partnership with Launceston Medical Centre. This program will allow participants much needed access to vital medical services as required, including routine medical appointments, mental health care and treatment, vaccinations and sexual health services.

Thank you to everyone that has supported the Foundation over the past two years and those that helped celebrate our achievements by attending Regines Revival.

Regines Revival was proudly supported by Country Club Tasmania, Tamar Hire, Tas City Building and Aussie Launceston. The event was also made possible thanks to Brown Brothers, Beach Club, Absolute Imagery, Worklocker, Bohemian Elements, LAFM and Chilli FM.
